Job Description

The person hired for this position will be responsible for:

  • As part of a dynamic team, you will be responsible for aligning and implementing the strategic goals for the acquired material groups
  • You will conduct negotiations independently within national and international environment, coordinate across disciplines and prepare tenders in close cooperation with the respective departments
  • In addition, you will continuously edit and optimise the strategic supplier road-map, the material group strategy and be responsible for international supplier inquiries
  • In addition to the development and implementation of technical, logistical and procedural savings potential, you will also prepare decision templates and award presentations, which you will present in top management committees
  • You will develop and implement supplier strategies for long-term supply security
  • You will develop synergies and potentials for the acquired material groups across all brands within the Group

The Successful Applicant

Candidate Profile:

  • You have a degree (technical) in Industrial Egineering, Engineering and Economics (Polytechnic, Economics University)
  • You are business fluent in English (C1)
  • Basic knowledge of German - nice to have (optional)
  • You are highly motivated and enjoy to shape future topics
  • You preferably have 3+ years of professional work experience in purchasing in automotive industry
  • You have ideally knowledge of metal area and metal processing
  • Your strengths include an understanding of technical contexts, high self-motivation & intensive cost orientation
  • You have a structured approach and an independent performance-oriented way of working
  • You enjoy working in teams and contribute solutions accordingly
  • You are analytic (Ms Excel, SAP ERP)
